This 30-minute documentary short explores the tumultuous relationship between Christians and the LGBTQ community as told through the story of one gay Kansan. The story centers on physician Burt Humburg (who came out of the closet after becoming an All-American football player) and his former pastor Joe Wright (who was instrumental in making gay marriage unlawful in the state of Kansas). The film takes several unexpected turns when the telling of Burt's story begins to impact the filmmaker's own life. It will follow with a Q/A session after.
Sponsored by Butler Community College Inclusion Council.
