[ARCHIVED] POSTPONED: Two lanes at Central, Haverhill closed for water leak repair

2-23-21 Haverhill Central Traffic

Update: The water leak repairs at the intersection of Haverhill and Central, scheduled to begin Thursday, have been postponed until further research can be completed. Recently, staff has noticed the water in the intersection is sporadic and coming up at different points in the intersection. More research is going to be done to determine where the leak is located with the hope of having minimal intrusiveness during the repairs.

Original story:
Two lanes at Haverhill and Central will be closed beginning Thursday, February 25, for the repair of a water main leak on the south side of the intersection. During the work, the left turn lane for northbound traffic on Haverhill will be closed, as well as the left hand lane for southbound traffic south of the intersection. Signs will be posted for the detour to continue to allow traffic to move through the intersection in each direction. The leak, probably caused due to the cold weather, is expected to be fixed within a week*See diagram for detour instructions.
