[ARCHIVED] Retirement reception to be held for Neil Boyce

Neil Boyce, Water Treatment Superintendent for the City of El Dorado, has announced his retirement.

Neil’s involvement in the water industry began in 1989, serving a small Public Water Supply system and earning KDHE Operator Certification at that time. He joined the City of El Dorado Water Plant staff as an Operator in 2009, later serving as Chief Operator and, ultimately, Superintendent.

He feels privileged to have been part of providing the residents of El Dorado and Butler County with quality drinking water and appreciates his colleagues and acquaintances from throughout these years.

While he has not ruled out doing some water industry consulting in his time ahead, Neil mostly looks forward to spending more time with family and friends, small-scale farming, and historical/genealogical research.

For those desiring to congratulate Neil and wish him well in his retirement, the City will be hosting an informal reception on his behalf from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 29 in the Commission Room at City Hall. No RSVP is necessary, but any questions about the event should directed to Michelle Linson, Public Utilities Administrative Assistant, at 316-321-9100 ext.111 or mlinson@eldoks.com.
