  2. Potato Bar Supper & Bake Sale

    March 4, 2019, 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM @ Trinity United Methodist Church

    Soroptimist El Dorado’s annual Potato Supper & Bake Sale fundraiser is Monday, March 4, 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Featuring a scrumptious potato bar along with salad, dessert and beverage, guests can eat on site or ask for take out. Profits are used to support Soroptimist El Dorado cash awards and programs for women and girls in our community. That includes a Live Your Dream Award (to help women going to school while supporting a family), an Outstanding H.S. Senior Award, an endowed nursing scholarship, and a “ Dream in, Be it!” career support event for teens. Tickets are $8 for adults and $3 for kids under age 11.   1. City Commission Meeting

    March 4, 2019, 6:30 PM - 9:00 PM @ City Hall

    The City Commission meets twice each month, on the first and third Mondays, at 6:30 PM CST. The meetings are open to the public and held in the Commission Room of City Hall at 220 East First in El Dorado. For those who cannot attend, the meetings are shown LIVE on cable channel 7, as well as videotaped and rebroadcasted at 10:30 AM and 7:30 PM on Tuesday and Wednesday following the meeting. The meetings can also be viewed online. The governing body is comprised of four City Commissioners and one Mayor, who presides over the council meetings. The City Commissioners are elected every four years, on a two year rotating schedule. Every two years, the mayor and two of the commissioners are elected. The governing body serves the public and welcomes public comments.
