There will be a variety of events over three days for the Old Fashioned Christmas, presented by El Dorado Main Street and the Kansas Oil Museum. The events will begin on Thursday with Thankful Thursday downtown, as well as horse and wagon rides from 4 to 7 p.m. In addition, Encore & Excite Choir performances will be held at 6 p.m. at Coutts Museum of Art.

The El Dorado Charities will be hosting Pictures with Santa and a Bake Sale. All proceeds go to El Dorado Charities Auxiliary to help fund local organizations in need or by request.
Downtown El Dorado
Inside District 142 Building
There will be a Remembrance Tree ceremony. Bring an ornament to honor a loved one.
Trinity Episcopal Church
All cookies will be prepackaged and priced. Plus: Handmade Mugs and Bowls by Denise M. Irwin
Proceeds benefit: Priscilla’s Pet Pantry, Salvation Army Food Drive, Heifer International, Deterra Drug Disposal System, Adopt-A-Family, Breakthrough Club, Episcopal Social Services, Sunshine Advocacy Group and others!
Butler County Community Building
Coutts Museum will be opening two exhibits: Painting the American West - Jim Clements and an Exhibit in Miniatures.
The exhibits will be on display through Jan. 27.
Downtown El Dorado and the Kansas Oil Museum
1 - 3 p.m. - Santa will be in Boomtown at the Kansas Oil Museum, 383 E. Central Ave.
3 - 4:45 p.m. - Meet Santa and Mrs. Claus at "Santa Central," 130 N. Main St.
5:30 p.m. - Christmas Parade: starts at Fourth and Main and travels south to Ash and Main
6:15 p.m. - Tree Lighting at Butler County Courthouse, with live music featuring the Treble Makers, a candy cane give-away and photos with Santa
6 - 8 p.m. - Community Chili Feed
6:30 p.m. - Entertainment at the Kansas Oil Museum

El Dorado Main Street will be hosting its Holiday House Tour, with four stops this year. It is presented by BG Products, Ergon Asphalt, Gravity Works Architects, Heritage Funeral Home and SunGroup Real Estate.
The Kansas Oil Museum Sunday Speaker Series features Derek Doty with the "Magic Lantern and Music Show." Free admission.
El Dorado Civic Center
The concert of country, gospel and oldies will benefit the Butler Homeless Initiative. It features Dean, Debbie and the Band "ISAIAH" (Linsey Cutsinger and Carl Williams). Also featuring Chuck Haukos and Lonnie Dreyer.
El Dorado Elks Lodge

Trinity United Methodist Church
Come out for a concert by Daryl Mosley. His sophomore solo album, Small Town Dreamer, features 12 new original songs that are portraits of small town American life. A musical collection of short stories, Mosley gives the listener a glimpse into the hearts, minds and every day lives of the common man. Everyone is welcome to attend.
