[ARCHIVED] Projects underway to mill, pave Civic Center parking lot, streets

9-7-21 Civic Center parking lot

The first of several mill and paving projects started today with the El Dorado Civic Center parking lot. Milling began on the parking lot Tuesday and the lot will be repaved and striped in the next few days. While the work is underway, please park in the new east parking lot at the Civic Center.

Following this project, milling will begin on the Southwest Trafficway on Wednesday from Main to Douglass Road. It is expected to take two days to mill, then about two days to pave. There will be signage for the project, which will have the street down to one lane at times with flaggers. Please use caution when traveling in this area.

After this project, the mill and paving of Emporia to Finney and Topeka from Finney to Santa Fe in the Adlesperger Addition will get underway. Next will be milling and paving of Third from Oil Hill to Orchard; then Pine from Taylor to Washington. The last project will be on Locust from Topeka to Atchison due to a water leak. Paving on each of these projects will follow as soon as possible after the milling.

Please be watching for updates on start dates for each of the projects and adjust your travels as necessary.
