[ARCHIVED] Street sealing to begin Sept. 15

Street work map

Several streets are scheduled to be sealed in El Dorado beginning Sept. 15 (Day 1) and 16 (Day 2). The map shows which streets will be sealed on each day. On your day, no parking will be allowed on the street after 8 a.m. In addition, please do not operate lawn sprinklers the night before or day of the treatment.

Weather permitting, liquid asphalt rejuvenator will be applied to your street, but rain and excessive wind could postpone the sealing. (Delay dates are Sept. 19, 20, 21 and 22.) Traffic will not be kept from your street for more than eight to nine hours. Typically the street will be open one to two hours after application.

If you you must drive on the street, drive slowly and look out for signage, workers and equipment. Liquid sealer is clear and may be slick to drive on. Also, keep children and pets away from the street.
